Confusionism (Part 2)

Story of the Filial Piety
================

There was once a dad who had a son. The wife passed away in her mid-years, and so the dad re-wedded.
The stepmother then gave birth to another 2 sons, so the man had all sons.

Winter was cold, and the family had to have twigs to maintain the fire for the season. Therefore, the dad together with his 3 sons went to the woods to gather twigs.

The day was chilly cold, and all of them had coats made of cottons to keep themselves warm despite the weather. In the midst of gathering the twigs, the first son was shivering all over and couldn't manage to gather much twigs. On seeing this, the dad was furious as the first son was the eldest, and he expected him to be stronger than the others. He whipped the son hard with his cane and ordered him to buck up.

As he whipped the son, the coat the son was wearing tore and thin grasses flew out of the coat. Alas! The dad knew the reason why the son was shivering.

Once they reached home, the dad screamed at the stepmother. "How could you give my first son a coat filled with grasses, and give your own sons cotton-filled ones? I'm going to kick you out of the house!"

Upon hearing, the stepmother and the sons were petrified. But the first son stood out and defended the stepmother, "Please don't kick her out, Dad. If she leaves, nobody is going to take care of my brothers. It would be better if I am the only one bearing the cold, rather than all 3 of us with no mothers to care for us."

The dad realised how filial the son was, and the love he gave to the family even when they did not regard him as one.
