Company event cum birthday boy

woohoo.. recently my company had a bowling competition as a part of the company event. I was still trying very hard to imagine my team not getting the team with the worst scorelines in case they read out the worst team.

Every team was supposed to have six players to make up the team. Looking at my team and of course myself, I was motivated to bowl well in order not to be the last team. Never did I expect when the scores came out, my team finished with a total score of 585. Wow, not bad for an amateur team. I won't hao lian to say that I scored 143 (oops in the end I did). And 143/585 * 100% = 24.4% Hmm seems like I contributed to the success a bit as we got 3rd.

Then the company began giving out long service awards before we had another round of game to see if any team had any chance of fighting back. This time, my team scored 597~ and I only scored 113. 113/597 * 100% = 18.92% Hehe but somehow we got 2nd in the overall. Oh i forgot to mention that there were 20 over teams.

So I had to say I enjoyed myself and was glad to take back $60 vouchers thanks to the generosity of the company.

After the bowling went to my boss' 1 year old baby's birthday. It was great to see a healthy baby coming to 1 year old.

hahaa i guess my friends wouldn't mind me posting all these pics, but these pics really showed something Aidan (the cute bday boy) wanted to say: "Pui chao nuar, this auntie dun know how to feed ppl one :'-@"

Virgin Drive

wah wah.. had my first driving practical lesson. Wow so many things to remember. I wonder why all the drivers outside drive like nobody's business.

Maybe I'm a theory kind of guy, so I tend to suck during practical lessons. Alot of "why" kept flashing when the instructor was coaching me, and it's difficult to digest what he said and drive at the same time. Haha.

But a lot of people say that learning the hard way helps (means that just going through the motion again and again). Luckily the instructor was quite patient, or else the "stupid" word might eventually come out of his mouth.

Anyway, I didn't really enjoy the "kick" of driving as I was just following the following instructions again and again:
1. Step clutch
2. Maintain accelerator
3. Change gear
4. Release clutch
5. Step accelerator
6. Signal left
7. Look at traffic
8. Turn left
9. Step clutch
10. Step brake.
11. Release clutch and brake.

See see, I told you I'm a theory guy, keep thinking about the steps only. But I must really synchronize all my hands, feet and eyes movement to be able to drive.

Hahaah.. hopefully I would learn to enjoy the driving as time goes.

Full House

Wah seh.. recently I've been watching a korean drama called "Full House". Damn addictive(coz of Miss Song, very hard becoz of Rain). Can really see the skills in the actors and the plot when the couples hit out at each other, majiam real life. Hhaahah

But anyway, this is one of the korean drama which is not so draggy like the autumn story, winter sonata and the summer scent(although i like this very much).

Now, where are the japanese dramas? No more beach boys, GTO, Love 2000? Waliao Japan a bit slack liao.. think they are focusing on other markets and products. Or their acting really suckS?

Yesterday watched Tokyo Drift, and the show reminded me of the latest Tamiya cars which really drift like nobody business. So right after Initial Drift, all go crazy about drifting. Yeh should be. But tell an ang moh to drift, hmm.. innovative huh..

!@#$%^&*

Pui chao nuar~
Today when I played soccer, I met a friend who owe me some money.

Really made me fed up man..
He told me that he quited his job (yet again), and had no money to return me. Wanted to find a higher pay job so that he could pay me back. I was thinking,"If you really wanted to pay me back, you wouldn't have quited your so-called lousy job. Can just try to give me back a bit to fake some sincerity right?"

Then he told me that if I die die wanted the money, he would ask his mum to pay me back $100 every month. What the shit.. How old liao still ask mum to pay debt? Hey, wake up your idea lah.. Have some backbone can anot?!!

Actually, I'm not very sad to say that I lost a friend this way. I'm in fact rather proud to say that I have lost the trust, and this realization is priceless.

Sometimes, I would still regret my stupidity and naive thinking of hoping to get back my money, but sometimes I wondered whether it's cause and effect. In the end, maybe I'm still a person who hates people who let me down when I trusted them. Haha yes! Welcome back to the mundane world.

Happy National Day!~

Yoz.. happy birthday to Singapore! 41st birthday! (hope I'm right)

It's the day when people in this small city unite as one(whether at the National Stadium or in front of the tv) and celebrate another year of peace and harmony.

Other than the high living standards of Singapore, I can't complain much. Food, transport, jobs, education, law, CPF.. everything one can have without realising that all these are made possible because of the pioneers.

The radio just went, " Count on me Singapore, Count on me to give my best and more..." Really reminded me of the primary school days when we will sing all the Singapore songs without finding them lame. Those days, National Day eve was actually a day to look forward as I would be anticipating the souvenir the school had in store for me.

As I grew up, we started to sing to songs softer, afraid that our friends will be glancing over with a "So patriotic meh?" look. No more souvenirs, just national day hall concerts consisting of the standard dances of different races(as usual), a long long speech by the big boss(as usual), and some boring plays.

Luckily for me, I was able to take part in the NDP. It was tiring and felt time wasting to burn every Sunday for practises in the cultural dances for the PA, but come to think of it, it was not so bad. I just treated the practices as another major gathering for friends, and I was able to make lots of new friends. Hehehe.

The feeling was fantastic: running into the stadium under a full crowd and surrounded by cauliflowers of fireworks. It made me feel alive. It made me feel a part of an organization, no worries how big the organization is. Then did I realize that I could feel so important to this world. Sorry, but I wasn't exaggerating.

I have participated in the dances for 3 years and marched in the contingent for a year. And hopefully, I would be able to join in the crowd one of these days again. But I really love it if I could grab hold of the tickets for the National Day. Haha.. so please make it fast, we need the newly built national stadium! :>

Confusionism (Part 2)

Story of the Filial Piety
================

There was once a dad who had a son. The wife passed away in her mid-years, and so the dad re-wedded.
The stepmother then gave birth to another 2 sons, so the man had all sons.

Winter was cold, and the family had to have twigs to maintain the fire for the season. Therefore, the dad together with his 3 sons went to the woods to gather twigs.

The day was chilly cold, and all of them had coats made of cottons to keep themselves warm despite the weather. In the midst of gathering the twigs, the first son was shivering all over and couldn't manage to gather much twigs. On seeing this, the dad was furious as the first son was the eldest, and he expected him to be stronger than the others. He whipped the son hard with his cane and ordered him to buck up.

As he whipped the son, the coat the son was wearing tore and thin grasses flew out of the coat. Alas! The dad knew the reason why the son was shivering.

Once they reached home, the dad screamed at the stepmother. "How could you give my first son a coat filled with grasses, and give your own sons cotton-filled ones? I'm going to kick you out of the house!"

Upon hearing, the stepmother and the sons were petrified. But the first son stood out and defended the stepmother, "Please don't kick her out, Dad. If she leaves, nobody is going to take care of my brothers. It would be better if I am the only one bearing the cold, rather than all 3 of us with no mothers to care for us."

The dad realised how filial the son was, and the love he gave to the family even when they did not regard him as one.

Shag!

Walaoz.. shag man.. these days

The army managed to "smoke" me and made me operationally ready for the last weekend.
Of coz I prefered to let them smoke me then to report to Singapore Polytechnic (I don't know why they choose that place) just to sign a name.

Anyway, today is August 1st. Happy Birthday to Zhixiong and Justin.
Went with Zhixiong, Huiya, Shiping, Xinhui and joined my bro and Fanrong to Party World yesterday. Really long time never met up with Zhixiong coz he got a few mishaps recently, but good to see that he is fine!:>
Zongwei, Yaocai and Wenjie can't make it to the singing, so hopefully one day we can all come out together again. Forget Alvin, he has gone to a greener pasture.

Justin, goodbye to you for the time being, thanks for all the contribution to our team. Don't be deceived by his blur looks, he stores part of the wikipedia in his harddisk. Last day cum birthday, haha.. keep in touch~

Justin: "Yes! My prata is coming!~"

==========================================
Shag, shag, shag, wah why so tired ah?..

Lamer: "Walao, if I have known, wouldn't have go and pack my field pack, nvm lah, i shall do some training in my room."
