I was supposed to be sick. 2 days with a blocked nose and feeling feverish. Really don't want to do anything and just lie on the bed. But I'm so used to sleeping late and utilize my time going online, I would hate myself if I fell asleep early any day. I was nuaring for so long I din even bother to post any blog. But at last, I have picked myself up again! Hoho I'm so proud of my determination~
Okay, straight to the topic. Last saturday, went to a "purification" class, I have come to realize that singaporeans are still relatively unhappy about the current life. Proven by Happy Planet Index, http://www.happyplanetindex.org/list.htm.
We were ranked 131/178 countries. Worst in Asia. So I wondered "How come?". People in other countries were so yearning to live in this clean and green city where ironically buildings are more than trees, if you bothered to count.
High standard of living is everywhere in Singapore, but the stress level also heightens as well. Everyday when I go to work, people are complaining about the sucky work(including me). The working society has become so competitive that almost everyone senses they will be struggling if they keep on earning peanuts.
Children go to school to compete with schoolmates their academic results, and sometimes their pokemon levels. Anything we youngsters are doing, we seem to be heading to a situation where the fittest gets recognition.
I don't want to blame some of my friends, but when we sometimes play table soccer, we all can get quite stressed up. Not to mention soccer we play at basketball courts. I also tend to try too hard to win games which should just be enjoyable to everyone.
Oh.. what I mean is..
Anyway, what I mean is simple, enjoy the times we are having with family and friends and all the closed ones.. like Vanuatu (No.1 :-) country). I would love to live there, provided I can bring along my loved ones, my laptop(there can online anot?), my bed, my handphone, my.. aiya I think I will stay in this green city with green rubbish bins (RANKED 131 :-( ) where all the buildings are to be blamed for over-grazing. Wonder 20 years down the road, will we have foreign artists to come to draw artificial trees to maintain the "green" image?
